Tuesday, October 30th, 2007a trip down to malacca was an ecstatic one. i love the fact that it still remains the nostalgic ambience and preserving its historical landmarks. hearing the grinding of ice on the old ice kachang machine along the side of the road, or having your chendol on the wooden stool beside the river? can you get that here in sinapore? not anymore..
like how i told him, on our way back to singapore..”singapore is just so symetrical, all straight and hard.its just too..clean.”
twenty-six//tenth - had our friday afternoon, at a backpacker lounge, chilling and enjoying the busy street of malacca. and for our dinner, for the very first time, we tried the portugese seafood cuisine. indeed a home cook style. he was fascinated by the fact that they served his drink on an “old melayu rewang” cup.and for the very first time again, i took a trishaw..a fully flowered with evergreen love songs trishaw.heheh damn tourists.period.
twenty-seven//tenth - the day why we came down to malacca…GLOBAL GATHERING! it was a big eventful night, and i can see that the organisers really put a lot of effort to it. neon lights, 4/4 and top it up with fireworks as well. we really enjoyed ourselves dancing, flicking the neon lights, taking pictures with “i dunno who”, feeling psychadelic and dipping our shoes in the mud! heh heh. the next day it looks like as if we just return back from a hard day of work at the construction side. but overall, it was awesome with good friends.what can i say, we were on the red carpet section ok!
twenty-eight//tenth-went shopping at jonker street*not really sure of the spelling though. but its also known as china town. tried the chicken rice ball. *basket, he made me believe that the chicken rise is packed in a way that all the ingredients are packed in a ball like the ice kachang ball”. at night, we had, seafood again and this time chinese seafood. the tom yam soup rocks!
twenty-nine//tenth- and this time, we just enjoy our very last moments together at malacca.it was beautiful.
thank you for the ever so pleasurable trip and definately more to come. i know i would be a good travelling partner.told ya so.hehehe.:)
